Bamboo Matcha Whisk (Chasen)
The bamboo matcha whisk, or “chasen,” is potentially the most important implement for the preparation of matcha. The fine, curved bamboo tines of the chasen allow the finely powdered matcha to be thoroughly incorporated into the water and well-frothed. It is often paired with the bamboo matcha scoop, or "chashaku," used to measure matcha.
