Henna & Tea Party with Alchemy Slow Living
Date: Saturday, May 12, 2018
Time: 12 - 2 pm
Location: 1342 N Main St, Ann Arbor
Celebrate Mother’s Day with a henna and tea party at Arbor Teas! Monique of Alchemy Slow Living will be in-house adorning moms, daughters, sons and fathers with henna body art. Any and all are welcome. Henna is a global art form with traditions from Morocco to Indonesia that uses a plant-based dye to create temporary tattoos. Come sip tea, receive beautiful henna, and enjoy the afternoon with us. This is a drop-in event. Henna designs created and applied by Monique will take about 10 minutes per person, and designs can be on hands or feet. Arbor Teas will provide tea and light snacks to enjoy while waiting. Participants are welcome to drop in anytime between 12 noon and 2pm, however tickets must be purchased in advance.
This workshop will be led by Monique Herzig of Alchemy Slow Living. Monique is a alchemist, aesthetician and naturalista with more than 20 years experience mixing up natural beauty. Her studio, Alchemy, emphasizes a slower approach to everyday life, and encourages collecting experiences instead of things. Located in Ferndale, MI, Alchemy is the only studio space in Michigan dedicated to natural henna body art. Their products include facials, skin care, studio appointments, and henna body art which all pursue the quest for a more contented life through beauty, art, fragrance, and rituals of self care.
