For the holiday season only (Nov-Dec), we are delighted to introduce one of our favorite tea-infused confections to date - Matcha Crisp Dark Chocolate Bar. Far from the traditional super-sweet chocolate concoctions so often found during the holiday season, this chocolate square is dark, luxurious, bitter, and includes almost one full serving of organic matcha per bar!
Inspired by Genmaicha (a Japanese tea that combines green tea with puffed brown rice), we collaborated with Sweet Gem Confections to create a delicious dark chocolate bar made from 72% organic single-origin cocoa, organic matcha green tea, and organic puffed brown rice. Together these ingredients create a chocolate sensation that begins with a velvety rich mouth feel, coupled with a light and toasty texture, and completed by a dry bitter matcha finish. Not for the faint of heart, this compact chocolate square is handmade in small batches by our friends at Sweet Gem Confections and is a must for dark chocolate lovers. Chocolate square weighs 1.6 oz and measures roughly 3 inches x 3 inches x 1/2 inch thick!
Ingredients: organic cacao, organic sugar, organic cacao butter, organic matcha green tea, organic crispy brown rice (organic brown rice, organic brown rice syrup, sea salt)
Aubrey Says: Every day we finish lunch at Arbor Teas by sharing a chocolate bar. We wanted to share our lunchtime tradition with YOU by creating a bar that is not only delicious (!) but combines the health benefits of dark chocolate and matcha green tea.

I didn't know if I would like the Matcha Crisp Dark Chocolate Bar, but boy, did I.
As a kid I loved Kit Kats, but now I don't enjoy milk chocolate. This bar hit a home run for me because it was a delicious integration of dark chocolate, with a hint of the green tea flavor I like, and the crisp added a third element that turned this into a "wow" experience.

This bar is beautifully wrapped. And what a surprise. Different from the normal fruit or nut taste of many dark chocolate bars for sure. I think the bar would be better without the crispy rice. Nice to try but I prefer smooth really dark chocolate.
