Matcha Crisp Dark Chocolate Bar
We are delighted to offer one of our favorite tea-infused confections to date - Matcha Crisp Dark Chocolate Bar. Far from the traditional super-sweet chocolate concoctions so often found during the holiday season, this chocolate square is dark, luxurious, bitter, and includes almost one full serving of organic matcha per bar!
Inspired by Genmaicha (a Japanese tea that combines green tea with puffed brown rice), we collaborated with Sweet Gem Confections to create a delicious dark chocolate bar made from 72% organic cocoa, organic matcha green tea, and organic puffed brown rice. Together these ingredients create a chocolate sensation that begins with a velvety rich mouth feel, coupled with a light and toasty texture, and completed by a dry bitter matcha finish. Not for the faint of heart, this chocolate bar is handmade in small batches by our friends at Sweet Gem Confections and is a must for dark chocolate lovers.
We redesigned the chocolate bar in 2016 with a new shape and new packaging. The chocolate bar now measures 2.5 inches x 4.5 inches, and (like our tea packaging) is packaged in a fully compostable wrapper!
