Iced Chai Latte Recipe

Iced Chai Latte Recipe

We wanted to make an iced chai latte that could be enjoyed right away (some of us are impatient!). Knowing that melting ice can dilute the strength of brewed tea and spices, we created this easy recipe for a delicious iced chai that hits all the spicy, milky and icy notes - in a snap!

Makes 2, 15 oz tumblers.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp of Organic Masala Chai Black Tea
  • 2 cups of boiling water*
  • 2 heaping tsp of sugar
  • 1 cup preferred milk (we use oat milk)
  • 10 ice cubes (1 ice cube = 1 ounce of water)

Directions

    1. Heat the water to boiling (212 degrees Fahrenheit). Remove from heat. *
    2. Steep the Organic Masala Chai Black Tea and sugar in the hot water for 5 minutes.
    3. Stir to dissolve sugar.
    4. Place 5 ice cubes into each glass.
    5. Strain out steeped Organic Masala Chai Black Tea and pour 1 cup of the infusion into each of your ice-filled glasses.
    6. Add 1/2 cup milk to each glass.
    7. Stir gently to mix. Enjoy!

Note: If you prefer a spicier or creamier drink, use more tea or milk!

* Boiling only the amount of water you need can make a big impact! Check out our eco-tips page for more eco-friendly brewing tips.
