Arbor Teas Annual Earth Day Donation
Nominate your favorite Earth Day-related nonprofit!

Do you know a nonprofit that supports or works toward one of the themes of Earth Day - honoring the earth and promoting peace and environmentalism? If so, we invite you to submit an Earth Day-related nonprofit for consideration for our annual Earth Day donation!

In 2021, we announced that the events of the COVID-19 pandemic caused us to reconsider our annual Earth Day Sale. Instead of celebrating Earth Day with a sale we decided to shift our focus to supporting Earth Day with a donation. We strongly feel this support is more in line with the original intention of Earth Day and our own focus on  sustainability and dependable pricing.

As a result, Arbor Teas will make a one-time donation equivalent to 15% of sales received on Earth Day (April 22 of the same year) to a nonprofit that supports the ideas proposed by peace activist John McConnell for the first Earth Day in 1970 - to honor the Earth and promote peace and environmentalism.

Your orders on April 22nd, 2023 made it possible to donate $2,500 to support Earthjustice! Founded in 1971, Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit public interest environmental law organization. Its mission is to wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health; to preserve magnificent places and wildlife; to advance clean energy; and to combat climate change.

In 2022 we donated $2,500 to support The Nature Conservancy! Their mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.

Your orders on Earth Day 2021 made it possible to donate $3500 to the non-profit:  EARTHDAY.ORG whose mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.

Nominate a 501(c)3 Non-Profit for consideration for our 2024 donation and tell us why you think they should be chosen! Nominees must be based in the USA, actively registered as a 501(c)3, and support or work toward one of the themes of Earth Day.
